Dear Students, Staff, and Families,
Welcome to the New School Year!
It is with immense pride, excitement, and gratitude that I welcome you to the 2026-2027 school year at Southwest Leadership Academy. Having served our community as an educator and instructional coach, I am deeply honored to step into the role of your Principal. This school is an incredibly special place – a community where we recognize that every student’s path is unique, and where we measure success not just by where a student starts, but by the incredible growth they achieve along the way.
As we embark on this new year, we remain firmly anchored in our core values of Respect, Attitude, Motivation, and Spirit (RAMS). I believe that a growth mindset is at the heart of these values. When we approach our days with a positive attitude and the motivation to learn from challenges, there is no limit to what we can accomplish together. Our ultimate goal is to prepare every student for a successful future, ensuring that by graduation, they are actively Enrolled, Enlisted, or Employed. Whichever path they choose, our dedicated staff is here to support them every step of the way.
To our incredible staff, my priority is to ensure you have the sustainable support, resources, and collaborative space you need to do what you do best. To our families, you are our most valuable partners. We know that a strong connection between home and school is the foundation of student success, and we are committed to keeping those doors of communication wide open.

Bienvenidos al nuevo año escolar!
Con un inmenso orgullo, entusiasmo y agradecimiento, les doy la bienvenida al año escolar 2026–2027 en Southwest Leadership Academy. Después de haber servido a nuestra comunidad como profesional de la educación y en el acompañamiento pedagógico, es un profundo honor para mí asumir la dirección de la escuela. Esta escuela es un lugar verdaderamente especial: una comunidad donde reconocemos que el camino de cada estudiante es único y donde medimos el éxito no solo por el punto de partida de cada alumno, sino también por el extraordinario crecimiento que logra a lo largo de su trayectoria.
Al comenzar este nuevo año, seguimos firmemente guiados por nuestros valores fundamentales de Respeto, Actitud, Motivación y Espíritu (RAMS, por sus siglas en inglés). Creo que una mentalidad de crecimiento es el centro de estos valores. Cuando afrontamos cada día con una actitud positiva y con la motivación para aprender de los desafíos, no hay límite para lo que podemos lograr juntos. Nuestro objetivo principal es preparar a cada estudiante para un futuro exitoso, asegurándonos de que, al graduarse, esté Inscrito en estudios, Alistado en las Fuerzas Armadas o Empleado. Sin importar el camino que elija, nuestro dedicado personal estará aquí para apoyarlo en cada paso.
A nuestro extraordinario personal: mi prioridad es garantizar que cuenten con el apoyo sostenible, los recursos y el espacio de colaboración que necesitan para hacer lo que mejor saben hacer. A nuestras familias: ustedes son nuestros aliados más valiosos. Southwest Leadership Academy is dedicated to improving academic achievement of at-risk students by providing an alternative educational program and supportive school environment that includes rigorous academic and social skills instruction that lead to student success in school, in their lives and within their community.
